is to provide effective and uninterrupted IT services required for our university's educational, instructional, research and development, community service, and scientific activities, as well as its administrative and managerial functions — along with related support, consultancy, and training services — by prioritizing user and staff satisfaction, as well as information security.

2.2. Goals

Ensure the continuity of network access quality within the university campus and between campuses. One of our top priorities is to ensure the proper functioning of switching devices in buildings and uninterrupted access for our users to email, web, and other services. Even if the internet connection is disrupted due to external issues, we will ensure that users experience no disruption in accessing local services. Therefore, maintaining the university’s network infrastructure in good condition at all times is a key goal.

In addition to maintaining the continuity of the network infrastructure mentioned in the previous goal, it is equally important that our users can access internet-based services provided by the Information Technology Department. These services are hosted on servers located in our department’s data centers, and regular maintenance and updates are necessary. Additionally, backups will be performed to prevent data loss.

The increasing number of computers and the growing need for data transfer due to advancing communication technologies can cause congestion in our internet traffic. To prevent this, we aim to carry out traffic analysis with our main service provider, Ulaknet, and implement necessary infrastructure improvements.

Our department tracks the development of wireless access infrastructure and works to make the infrastructure faster, more secure, and more efficient according to current technologies. We aim to improve the infrastructure at a reasonable cost to meet the future high bandwidth needs of our users.

Our staff is committed to continuously improving the necessary professional knowledge and skills. We encourage participation in in-service training activities to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of the university's IT activities.

Some issues affecting network communication on campuses may arise from user errors. These issues are usually of a nature that can be resolved by users without technical staff support. Therefore, technical support will be provided by our staff to offer simple and practical solutions, especially to academic and administrative personnel with limited technical knowledge.

Our department serves as the first point of contact for end-user issues and requests. Therefore, we aim to increase the number of staff to efficiently and effectively address the high volume of requests from the campuses.
